Daniel Hague

Producer of the Year

The Producer of the Year honor recognizes individuals who embody all that is great about the dairy industry. The 2026 award was presented to Daniel Hague, who along with his wife Susan operate their 90-cow farm in Noble County. The farm has shipped grade A milk and performed DHIA testing since the early 1980s, and Dan is active in Indiana's dairy industry in several capacities. He represents producers on the Indiana State Dairy Association Board, serves as a delegate to the National DHIA meeting and is on the Dairy Records Services advisory board. Dan also gives back to the next generation by serving on the NDHIA & ISDA scholarship boards and assists with local 4-H efforts.

Young Producer of the Year

2025 Indiana Young Dairy Producer of the Year
Alex & Abby Lueken

Alex & Abby Lueken are IDP’s 2026 Young Producers of the Year. Alex is a third-generation dairy farmer with his wife Abby and their two small children on their farm that borders Hoosier National Forest. They are very involved locally, hosting a Discover Dairy event at the Dubois County museum for hundreds of people to help connect their community with the farm. Abby serves as the Adopt a Cow host for Indiana, sharing their calves with over 1,000 classrooms and 31,000+ students to learn more about dairy farming. Alex serves on the Indiana Dairy Producers board to advocate for dairy farming in the state. They were one of the Featured Farmers at the 2024 Indiana State Fair.

2025 Indiana Dairy Producers Scholarship Recipient Joseph Renners

As a 4-H member who enjoyed livestock, but did not grow up on a farm, Joseph was able to gain experience with animals working at a local dairy farm. Currently a senior in high school, Jospeh works four days a week on the dairy learning about the cows and dairy operations. He aspires to be an electrical engineer and someday own his own farm.

Madison Lindauer

As a fifth-generation member of her family’s dairy, Madison has been involved with all aspects of the dairy for her whole life and these experiences have strengthened her commitment to the dairy industry. She participated in numerous youth activities and is currently attending Western Kentucky University, majoring in animal science. She plans to use her degree to become an animal embryologist to work with dairies on reproductive services.
